Dr. Linda Vargas is a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist and Fellowship-Trained Cornea Specialist. She has made Austin her home after moving here in June of 2002. In addition to her extensive experience in Ophthalmology, she is also trained and has worked as an Internist and Emergency Physician for 10 years. Her background in Internal Medicine along with her training in Ophthalmology make her a keen diagnostician; many systemic diseases first present with ocular symptoms. Dr. Vargas is one of the few Ophthalmologists in the Austin area that is truly bilingual and fluent in Spanish. She is dedicated to providing the utmost in Comprehensive Eyecare to her patients. She believes in educating her patients about their conditions so that, together they can make sound decisions regarding their care.

Dr. Tom Wilkins is a graduate of the University of Houston College of Optometry. In the course of his studies, he completed externships at the Raymond G. Murphy Medical Center VA Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and St. Erik’s Eye Hospital in Stockholm, Sweden. The specialty of these rotations was ocular pathology.After graduation, Dr. Wilkins practiced in St Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, in a commercial setting for two years. Having missed Texas, he returned to the Austin area in 2007 to continue comprehensive optometry.  Dr. Wilkins’ commitment to ocular pathology and preserving patients' vision has led him to broaden his glaucoma knowledge by volunteering with a local ophthalmology group. He also volunteers with Hospital de la Familia. They send medical teams to Guatemala to help the indigenous population.
